Review by hotel critic
The Casablanca Hotel in Petropolis perfectly blends luxury with historical charm, making it a location worth considering for your next trip. Positioned excellently, it’s just a short walk to major attractions, emphasizing the allure of this imperial city. Upon arrival, I experienced a warm welcome drink and found the staff to be particularly helpful, which set a positive tone. My spacious room, styled in an old-fashioned manner, included a flat-screen TV and air conditioning, though it did show signs of wear. The presence of historical decor added to the hotel’s atmosphere, yet this also hinted at the potential need for renovation. Breakfast on the balcony was pleasant but average; my sons opted for local bakeries instead. While parking is ample, the experience does underline a careful consideration between cost and luxury. Ultimately, the Casablanca provides an intriguing stay, but one may ponder if the prestige still justifies the price tag.
